9/11 Tribute

10 years.

Forget 9/11? No more than forgetting my own name.

Now I could easily talk about how our government could have seen this coming, or the sick events that happened that day. But I won’t.

10 years ago America learned the biggest lesson, any country has.

I pray for those families, that could have easily been mine. It hurts, every time I watch those mothers, brothers, widows, and sisters talk about their loved ones on

History Channel. It hurts all of us, because they wounded our county.

But I started off this post with 10 years. 10 years later we’ve gridlocked the country into one of the safest in the world.

Ignoring controversy, we have an amazing police force, hospitals, and security systems. No matter how deep a deficit we get in our country won’t cut a dime in our nation’s armies. I still have faith in this country and the God who’s watching over all of us. And don’t you dare question God and his part in 9/11. People ask “Well where was God?! Why didn’t he stop this?!”

The answer, God gave us free agency. Who is he to break his promises? He couldn’t have stopped this, none of us could. But after it happened,

All religions, races, politics came together and stitched up the wounds. America still has scars, but 10 years have made us so much Stronger.

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, State Farm partnered with award-winning director Spike Lee to film a touching tribute to thank the heroes of New York. Nearly 150 school children (ages 8-11) from the New York City area visited four firehouses and thanked the firefighters through Alicia Keys’s “Empire State of Mind”.

Please enjoy and have faith.
